Our Story

At POOPOOPAPER,  we've turned one of nature's most abundant waste products into something unexpectedly beautiful, functional, and conversation-worthy. Founded in the lush mountains of Chiang Mai, Thailand, our sustainable business began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: what if we could take elephant poop and use as material to make stationery products that make people smile, think, and reconsider what's possible?

Now, now... we're not naive enough to believe that our humble sustainable business tucked away in Northern Thailand is going to single-handedly change the world. We know we're just one small company in a vast global marketplace, working with local artisans to create handcrafted paper products from recycled animal waste. But here's what we do believe: every meaningful change starts with a single step, one conversation, one moment of surprise and then suddenly... enlightenment.

Our story began when we witnessed the incredible skill of local papermaking artisans who had been practicing their craft for generations. We saw an opportunity to combine traditional techniques with innovative environmental solutions, creating products that celebrate both cultural heritage and sustainability. What started as an experiment in our small Chiang Mai workshop has grown into a mission that spans continents and touches lives in ways we never imagined.

The magic happens when someone receives their first POOPOOPAPER product. Maybe it's a memo pad tucked into a conference gift bag, or an eco-friendly journal given as a thoughtful present. That initial moment of curiosity — "What's different about this paper?" — leads to the delightful revelation of our unique production process. Suddenly, they're not just holding a notebook; they're holding proof that innovation can come from anywhere, that waste can become something wonderful, and that sustainability doesn't have to be serious or boring.

We hope that by doing what we can with what we have, each product makes a difference in small but meaningful ways. With every sustainable memo pad here and eco-friendly journal there, the word gradually spreads. Minds become enlightened about the possibilities of creative recycling. Habits slowly shift toward more conscious consumption. Conversations start about environmental responsibility, artistic innovation, and the beautiful irony of creating something elegant from something so humble.

As a sustainable business, we're proud to support both environmental conservation and our local community. We may be small, but we dream big. Through laughter, surprise, and genuine quality, we're proving that sustainability can be joyful, that business can have conscience, and that sometimes the most powerful changes come wrapped in the most unexpected things.
